Speed Reading Software Freeware

Have you made the decision to learn how to speed read in the recent past? If you have, then congratulations! You have taken the first step toward improving your intellectual abilities. If you are considering your options, then you really can grasp the advantage over your colleagues, whether you work or wish to improve your academic results. Either way, you will have to choose a program that has been specially designed to teach speed reading. There are plenty of them around but you need to be aware of the fundamental differences between the software packages, and that includes speed reading software freeware.

Note: Denise and I recommend only products that we have tried and tested. These include the popular speed-reading software 7 Speed Reading.* This article was written by a freelance writer commissioned by eReflect software, the maker of 7 Speed Reading.

Speed reading software freeware is essentially the free software that is available for download on the Internet. It is exactly what the name suggests in that you can download it from anywhere in the world without paying a penny for it. Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Well, if only things were that simple. In fact, free speed reading software has advantages and disadvantages that set it apart from other packages, namely those that you pay for.

Taking the advantages first, there is one glaringly obvious advantage that speed reading freeware has over other packages: it costs you nothing; you can simply download it and start using it without having to delve into your wallet first. In addition, freeware is readily available through a number of download sites so you can access it with little hassle.

However, speed reading software freeware has a number of disadvantages, too. These disadvantages differ from package-to-package. For example, you can be fairly confident that the software you purchase for speed reading is of a decent quality if you have to pay for it. Paid software usually comes with guarantees (and free trials). By contrast, there is no guarantee of quality with freeware. Some are decent quality but others are simply based on one exercise and will be of little use. They will not hold your interest and will not help you to develop your skills. In addition, free speed reading software can have bugs or viruses, which can have a lasting effect on your computer, if nothing else.

In short, many of the speed reading freeware options are not good ones if you’re serious about improving your speed reading ability quickly and easily. Although you should take each package on its own merits, few have the benefits of the better software packages that you have to pay for. Take, for example, 7 Speed Reading. We know 7 Speed Reading works in this niche; it is easy to find online; and there are plenty of reviews to read on it. As such, you can quickly get an idea of just how useful it is in comparison to freeware. Does speed reading software freeware have more benefits than that package? If the answer is yes, then go for it; but very few are even close, so investing a little in speed reading software, and enjoying the benefits of speed reading, is ultimately worth the investment.

*Denise and I have agreed to receive a commission from some sales of 7 Speed Reading software because we are happy to endorse this speed reading software.
